The new home of the Hero World Challenge

This December, the Hero World Challenge will make its new home at Albany in The Bahamas. The luxury resort community, set on 600 oceanside acres on the island of New Providence, is the collective vision of its founders — Joe Lewis and Tavistock Group, and Tiger Woods. Albany is proud to be home to the Hero World Challenge, jointly hosted by these two friends.

Conveniently located just minutes from Nassau’s international airport and two private airfields, Albany is easily accessible with direct international flights.

The community opened in 2010 and features an unparalleled combination of surroundings, architecture, sporting amenities and service. The rare collection of amenities is highlighted by a luxury boutique hotel comprised of private residences, a mega-yacht marina, a state-of-the-art fitness center with boxing, yoga and Pilates and a CrossFit course, relaxing spa and salon, several pools and family water park, kids’ clubhouse and programming, a variety of restaurants and a unique, desert links-designed championship golf course.

Sure to challenge this year’s field, the 7,400-yard, par-72 course designed by Ernie Els is characterized by windswept dunes and a number of scenic and strategically challenging water features.
