Earl Woods Scholar Program launches exclusive digital platform

The Earl Woods Scholar Program recently launched a digital platform to engage scholars and expand opportunities among its members. Open to current scholars, alumni and TGR Foundation staff, the platform will provide a central online hub for students to connect, engage in meaningful dialogue on topics of interest and explore opportunities to gain experience and enhance their skillset.

“After spending months surveying and speaking to scholars and alumni, we heard their needs and took collective feedback to build a dynamic virtual gathering space,” said Cristina Fernández, Senior Director of Programs. “EW Scholar Connect will enable scholars to reconnect with their peers, give back to the next generation of scholars and expand their professional network.”

Featuring a directory of members, affinity groups, photo galleries, a resource library and more, there are many benefits for scholars to be active on the platform.

“EW Scholar Connect is everything I wanted as a scholar,” said Rogelio Tec, an EWSP and University of California, Santa Barbara alumnus. “I like how I can easily connect with scholars, new and old, and continue building relationships with the program.”

With one of the highest graduation rates among scholarship programs in the United States, its mentorship component is critical to the EWSP’s success. Through EW Scholar Connect, students will have the opportunity to gain more from peer mentorship facilitated through the platform. With filters by location, job function and industry, the potential connections are endless.

“My favorite feature is the directory because it allows you to view all the scholars within the cohorts as well as view those who work within TGR Foundation,” said Earl Woods Scholar Charbel Hannah. “I like being able to read their bios to find similar interests, what industries they work in as well as what locations they’re from.”

As more students are accepted into the program, EW Scholar Connect will keep students engaged within the Earl Woods Scholar Program and TGR Foundation during their collegiate years and beyond.
