2022 Year In Review: The Relaunch of Our People, Programs and Spaces
2022 was a year of transition and renewal. Our goal was to relaunch TGR Foundation, with a focus on our people, programs, and spaces. As I reflect on this past year, I am filled with a sense of gratitude for having students back in the renovated TGR Learning Lab and for the community members who stepped forward in joining our mission and vision for the future.
The return to in-person programming was a pivotal moment, critical to delivering meaningful impact to our students. Inspired by Tiger Woods’ vision for the facility, the Learning Lab was reimagined to help students learn, grow and thrive. It’s been exciting to welcome students, families, educators, volunteers and supporters back to experience the transformed Learning Lab.
We celebrated the relaunch through the inaugural TGR Foundation Community Fest. This special event demonstrated how we are enhancing the student experience at the Learning Lab with our partners to help students connect their passions with purpose along their path to success.
In addition to programming at the Learning Lab, we ramped up our community outreach, from field trips and workshops for grade school and college-bound students to professional development for educators. We also successfully hosted a full schedule of TGR Live events, including the return of Tiger Jam presented by DraftKings and the new TGR JR Invitational presented by Taylormade.
Our impact is due to the great work of our team, our charitable partners and the entire community. Throughout the year, we invested in our staff, from in-person team building sessions to the addition of several key positions. I am proud of the hard work and dedication of our staff, Board of Governors and donors. The impact we have is a testament to our collective all-in effort and commitment to our core values.
I am energized by the magic that happens when the lightbulb turns on and our programs empower a student to dream. Building on this momentum we will grow our Pathways Forward program in preparation for the 2023-24 school year. Pathways Forward will help students be future ready through individualized pathways that prepare them for college and career opportunities. The program will work with students at various stages of their education journey to help them discover their passions, deepen their knowledge and transform their lives.
At TGR Foundation, we believe everyone can be a champion for youth. Your continued support allows us to further expand and enhance our programs to empower more students through education. I invite you to be a champion. Learn more at TGRFoundation.org/champions.
