Tiger Woods Invitational Tees Off To Play With Purpose on Monterey Penninsula

The 8th annual Tiger Woods Invitational presented by USLI is underway and bringing a full field of amateur golfers to the Monterey Peninsula for three days of golf, food, entertainment, and philanthropy. Every golfer in the tournament is not only playing three “bucket list” courses this week, but they also are playing with purpose for TGR Foundation as all proceeds from the event benefit foundation’s education programs. The event has become an annual favorite for TGR Foundation partners and donors, selling out every year, thanks to the incredible experiences both on and off the course.

The Tiger Woods Invitational has become known as one of the best amateur golf tournaments for charity, not only because it is hosted by Tiger Woods and takes place at three of the top courses in the country. The event treats guests with a variety of unique activities, luxury amenities and treatment like a golf professional.

Before the golf competition begins, guests are greeted at Spyglass Hill with gifts fit for a pro including custom Nike Golf clothing, bag, and embroidered towels.

A few guests even were able to ride in style in the 2019 Acura NSX from The Lodge to the Spyglass Hill Golf Course courtesy of Acura.

As the golf competition gets underway, Spyglass Hill always provides a great test at one of the game’s most unique settings. Once again, October in Monterey did not disappoint as the weather was picture perfect.

Following round one, all guests continue to play with purpose by bidding in the exclusive silent auction to benefit TGR Foundation. The annual Tiger Woods Invitational dinner at the Beach Club is a highlight each year complete with incredible auction items, perfect sunset views, culinary treats and special guests.

The dinner culminated with a compelling discussion between Tiger Woods and Peter Ueberroth, moderated by TGR Foundation Board of Governor’s chairman, Mike McKee. Tiger and Peter shared unique insight and history about Pebble Beach and the US Open, the sports business industry and most importantly, giving back.
