TGR Foundation builds on relaunch, partnerships to empower youth
Throughout the last 25 years, TGR Foundation’s impact has been driven by our mission and Tiger’s commitment to serving youth. As the Foundation builds on the relaunch of its signature programs and flagship TGR Learning Lab in Anaheim, CA, the need for a collaborative community of support is more important than ever.
As the education landscape has changed in recent years, the need for a future-ready workforce has become more vital. To meet this need, TGR Foundation is expanding and enhancing its signature education programming to continue delivering quality project-based learning at the Learning Lab with a renewed emphasis on skills development paired with college and career readiness.
Through exciting new programming using the power of community, students will discover their passions and interests, deepen their knowledge and skills and transform their lives and communities. The programming will combine TGR Foundation-designed classes, resources from partner organizations and special projects connected to employers emphasizing real-world needs. Students will progress through multiple phases of a curated career pathway highlighting the opportunities in and beyond STEM fields. Designed to connect passion with purpose, each pathway will help students achieve their individual goals and career objectives.
As students start at the TGR Learning Lab, they are empowered to discover their passions. Through a partnership with the Find Your Grind Foundation, each student will complete the Find Your Grind Future Ready Assessment to identify their personal interests and tangible career pathways. These pathways such as maker, entrepreneur and analyzer are designed to help students identify their interests and competencies.
At the TGR Learning Lab, students have access to resources and courses that align with their pathway such as marine biology, civil engineering, game design, photography and cybersecurity. The curriculum is designed for students to apply the principles they are learning in school in a way that allows them to build skills and understand career opportunities.
Partners play an important role in delivering meaningful impact by providing curricula, resources, volunteers and funding to further deepen students’ knowledge and skills. Partners who have been instrumental in supporting TGR Foundation’s relaunch and Pathways Forward include Find Your Grind Foundation, Providence, Claire Yu & Simon Zhang, Debby & Hal Jacobs, Cindy & Mike McKee, Bitwise Industries, Boeing, Broadcom Foundation, Charles Koch Foundation, Experian, Genesis Bank, GEN.G, IAMCP/Microsoft and WozED.
As students progress on their pathway toward graduation, TGR Foundation and its supporters, volunteers and partners provide transformational support with hands-on training and guidance. Built on the power of relationships, students receive meaningful experiences including internships, industry workshops, job shadowing opportunities, mentorship and certifications to prepare them for real-world scenarios and the job market.
Partnerships are vital to help students gain a deeper experience and build transferable skills to take from the classroom into the workforce. Together we will help more students to learn, grow and thrive on their path to success.
