Six ways golf lovers can enjoy the Quicken Loans National

Golf enthusiasts won’t want to miss this historic tournament. With the last major of the year on the near horizon, the best golfers in the world are here in lovely Virginia honing their games — and you can see them all up close and personal. Beginning this Thursday, the competition heats up at RTJ.

9 a.m.: Park at Jiffy Lube Live and make your way over to Robert Trent Jones Golf Club as the first golfers of the day tee off.

9:41 a.m.: Find your seat in the Quicken Loans bleachers on the par-3 No. 16 $1 million hole to watch some of the world’s top golfers shoot for an ace. Stars such as Rickie Fowler, defending champion Justin Rose and tournament host Tiger Woods will be vying for the title. Don’t miss your chance to see the best in action live.

11:57 a.m.: Take a break from the heat and have some lunch at the DELTEK Capital Club, overlooking one of RTJ’s toughest holes, the par-5 No. 14. Grab some grub and a cold drink from the GREY GOOSE bar as you catch the action from one of the best seats in the house.

1:14 p.m.: As you make your way to No. 11 for some of the afternoon’s action, visit some of RTJ’s historical locations. RTJ has previously hosted four Presidents Cup competitions, and the grounds are full of golf history.

2:33 p.m.: Challenge your favorite playing partner at the Astellas Putt for Charity Challenge. Loser buys first round at the Quicken Loans Hole-in-One House, an indoor pavilion with a full bar and live streaming coverage from No. 16.

3:58 p.m.: Head to the Main Entrance for some live music and fun as you finish up your day at the Summer Music Stage presented by Acura.
