Crowning a world champion
Hideki Matsuyama put the world in Hero World Challenge.
Making his third start in the World Challenge, Hideki Matsuyama carried a huge lead into Sunday and held on for the victory at the 2016 Hero World Challenge. His 18-under was two strokes better than runner-up Henrik Stenson, who finished at 16-under par.
For Matsuyama, the win marks his fourth in his past five individual starts. Last year at the Hero World Challenge, Matsuyama finished in a tie for 17th, and finished 13th in 2014.
