Action heats up off the course

The full experience at the Hero World Challenge extends well beyond the golf course. While a round in the the pro-am and followingsome of the best 18 golfers in the world are highlights of the week at Albany, Bahamas, you must take advantage of the nightlife to truly experience all that tournament week has to offer.

The Hero World Challenge Pro-Am highlighted the action at Albany, Bahamas, on Wednesday, Nov. 30. Pros and amateur golfers took to the course in one final test before Round 1 on Thursday. The most exclusive pro-am on TOUR allows guests the chance to play with the world’s best golfers in the 18-man field at Albany.

Following the opening round of competition play, Hero MotoCorp hosted India Nite, an annual tradition at the Hero World Challenge and a truly Indian experience for guests, with a series of interactive showcases that display different facets of the country. Indian cuisine, which included a lavish spread of delicacies from different regions of India, was one of the many highlights of the evening. Some of the sumptuous dishes included the Biryani, kebabs and various Indian curries, representing different regional flavors of India. “Love Bhoomi,” an Indian musical that was showcased at India Nite, depicted the legendary love story between Lord Krishna and Radha. The story was brought to life through a scintillating performance by a group of 24 dancers from India. The performance — a combination of various dance forms of India — was choreographed by Terrance Lewis, one of the top choreographers in Bollywood.

Friday night, Albany House once again played host to the social elites as the Hero World Challenge Beach Party took to Aviva Beach. The night featured a true taste of island flavor as the carnival theme highlighted the unique lifestyle of The Bahamas. Welcomed by a Junkanoo band as they arrived, guests enjoyed a night of food, drinks and dancing. The out-of-this-world party highlights the extravagance of Bahamas living.

After tough competition on the course in Round 3 on Saturday, Tiger Woods and invited guests go all-in during the annual Hero World Challenge Poker Night. The money raised goes toward charity, but hands of poker can surely get intense.

When the last putt drops and the 2016 Hero World Challenge champion is crowned, the party doesn’t stop. The Hero World Challenge After Party concludes an eventful week at Albany, Bahamas, with DJ Jazzy Jeff headlining the concert at Albany House.
