March 7 will forever be a significant day in Quicken Loans National history. In front of assembled media, special guests and adoring young fans, Tiger Woods announced the formation of DC’s PGA TOUR event on March 7, 2007. With the 10th Quicken Loans National less than four months away, we are counting down the top 10 moments in tournament history.
Moment No. 10 – Tiger Woods announces the National
Since 2007, the National has been one of the premier stops on the PGA TOUR schedule. Rooted in celebrating the things that matter most in American life, the National is an event that combines great golf with charity, impactful military programs and time with family and friends. Congressional Country Club hosted the inaugural National in 2007 and will host the event this summer. In total, the historic Blue Course at Congressional has hosted seven out of 10 tournaments.
