Red, white and DBC blue

Here at the Deutsche Bank Championship, we take pride in welcoming and supporting those who sacrifice to defend and uphold our freedom. Read on to find out how we celebrate our troops at the Deutsche Bank Championship — and how you can join us in doing so.

Military Patriot Outpost

In our efforts to best welcome the men and women of the United States military, we have provided the Military Patriot Outpost on the 17th tee. With a perfect elevated view of the tee box, military and their families can enjoy watching the pros take on the tricky par-4 17th while having access to indoor and outdoor seating with complimentary snacks and beverages.

Complimentary Access

This year at the Deutsche Bank Championship, all active, reserve and retired members of the military receive complimentary access to the grounds of TPC Boston for every day of the championship, beginning Wednesday, Aug. 27, through Monday, Sept. 1. All service members, with a valid Common Access Card or Retired Military Card, will be welcomed into the gates of the championship when they arrive.

Opening Ceremonies

On Wednesday, Aug. 27, from 11:30 a.m.-12 p.m., the Deutsche Bank Championship Opening Ceremony will be held on the 17th tee box, directly in front of the Military Patriot Outpost. With special representation from the Massachusetts Army National Guard, we encourage all spectators and volunteers to attend. At the conclusion of the ceremony, a PGA TOUR professional will join Wounded Warriors representatives Greg Reynolds and Chris Williams to hit the ceremonial first shot into the 17th fairway.

With a full slate of military-themed programs throughout the Deutsche Bank Championship and the PGA TOUR-sponsored Birdies for the Brave program and the Veterans Walking Program during Thursday’s Championship Pro-Am — we hope to not only provide our military members with the best possible experience, but we also want to give our thanks and appreciation to the men and women who sacrifice their lives for the betterment of our country. Thank you to all, and enjoy the championship!
