PGA TOUR stars pack bags for military

As a part of its ongoing #BeyondVeteransDay campaign, Tempur-Pedic hosted the Tempur-Pedic Military Care Package event in Kids Village, where care packages were created and stuffed for troops overseas.

PGA TOUR professionals Hunter Mahan, Sean O’Hair and Brendan Steele were split into three teams and paired with #BeyondVeteransDay military veterans from the local New England area in a competition to see which team could pack their 73 bags fastest. The care packages included a message and practical items troops can use while deployed.

In just a few minutes, the team led by Steele claimed the victory. Mahan’s team finished right behind them in second, and O’Hair’s landed in third. 

The Tempur-Pedic #BeyondVeteransDay campaign is a movement designed to recognize and thank military veterans throughout the year, not just on Veterans Day. Fans are encouraged to thank a veteran they know and share the #BeyondVeteransDay hashtag on social media. For every 100 hashtags used, Tempur-Pedic will donate a mattress to a veteran. Tempur-Pedic has donated more than 30,000 mattresses a year to charities supporting military personnel, as well as veterans and other military causes.
