Deutsche Bank Championship honors United States military service members
The Deutsche Bank Championship is making its anticipated return to the Boston area this Labor Day weekend, and will continue its tradition of paying tribute to the brave men and women who serve or have served in or with the United States military. In a show of support of military members and their families, the Deutsche Bank Championship, Sept. 2-7 at TPC Boston, will again be offering complimentary tickets, food and other amenities to honor the service commitments made by our military families.
Military tickets
Once again for 2015, all Active Duty, Reserve, Retired or National Guard military members may receive complimentary military grounds tickets, which allows access to the tournament grounds and the Military Patriot Outpost presented by Tempur-Pedic on selected day(s). Limited to two (2) complimentary tickets per day per person. The complimentary active duty military tickets are supported by Quicken Loans and can be redeemed online in advance or at the ticket office during tournament week.
New for 2015
All military veterans are eligible to receive 25 percent off daily grounds tickets. Each ticket grants access to the tournament grounds and Military Patriot Outpost on the selected day(s). Please visit the tickets page to get your tickets.
Military Patriot Outpost presented by Tempur-Pedic
While onsite, military service members and their dependents will be able to enjoy the championship from the Deutsche Bank Championship Military Patriot Outpost. This venue will provide a great viewing spot, located on the 17th tee, and will be stocked with complimentary snacks and non-alcoholic beverages. Additionally, information about services available to military members will be provided by Deutsche Bank and supporting military partners, including Tempur-Pedic and RecruitMilitary.
Opening Ceremony
The Deutsche Bank Championship Opening Ceremony will take place Wednesday, Sept. 2, at 11:30 a.m. at the No. 17 tee box in front of the Wedgwood Club and Military Patriot Outpost. The ceremony will include a ceremonial tee shot by a PGA TOUR professional and other special honorees.
Birdies for the Brave
During the Deutsche Bank Championship Pro-Am on Thursday, Sept. 3, we will honor local active duty military with the opportunity to caddie for PGA TOUR players on the 17th hole at TPC Boston. Military men and women will wear Birdies for the Brave digital camouflage caddie bibs, as they walk step by step with TOUR players, sharing stories and learning what it takes to caddie on TOUR. Birdies for the Brave is a military outreach initiative proudly supported by the PGA TOUR.
