We salute you from Congressional

Throughout the Quicken Loans National at Congressional Country Club, spectators, volunteers and players alike have taken time out of their days to sign the ‘We Salute Our Heroes’ wall. Located off of the left fairway of the 18th hole, the wall is covered with sincere, heartfelt messages and are signed by each writer.

For example, Theresa Businsky wrote: “Thanks for all you do and did for our country! Thank you for your service, especially my dad, sister, and cousin!” Another spectator, named Sharon, wrote: “You make us proud just to wake up! Thank you. God bless!” This wall, that served its purpose of contributing to the Quicken Loans National’s outpouring of support for our military and armed forces, is a beautiful sight as it’s covered in green, blue, black and red-colored messages of sincere thanks, love and “Semper Fi.”

On Wednesday, tournament host Tiger Woods signed the middle of the wall and, upon completion, the Quicken Loans National champion will script his message and signature to not only cap off the tournament, but to simply continue the collective heartfelt appreciation this community has expressed as the wall will be shipped to a particular military base soon after.
