Round 1 recap

After the first round of the Deutsche Bank Championship, the lead belongs to Ryan Palmer, who shot an 8-under 63 to take a two-stroke lead over New England favorite Keegan Bradley. Bradley, who made four birdies on the front nine, is followed closely by Jason Day, 2011 DBC winner Webb Simpson and Chesson Hadley, who all finished the day at five strokes under par. Other notables, such as Jordan Spieth (-4), 2012 DBC champion Rory McIlroy (-1), Rickie Fowler (-1) and defending champion Henrik Stenson (-1) will look to advance up the leaderboard in Round 2 as the second leg of the 2014 FedExCup Playoffs continues at TPC Boston.
