Tiger, Team Albany place fourth at Tavistock Cup
Tiger Woods shot an even-par 72 on Tuesday in the second and final round of the ninth annual Tavistock Cup at Lake Nona Golf & Country Club in Orlando, Fla.
Playing for Bahamas-based Team Albany, Woods finished five strokes behind pacesetters Robert Allenby, Thomas Bjorn, Ernie Els, Ross Fisher and Retief Goosen, who shared the low round with 67.
In the team competition, host Lake Nona successfully defended its title with a 36-hole score of 41-under par, two strokes better than Team Isleworth Golf & Country Club. England-based Queenwood Golf Club finished third at 32-under par, while Albany placed fourth at 26-under par.
Next up for Woods is the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill Club & Lodge in Orlando — his final tune-up for next month’s Masters Tournament. Woods will play in the pro-am on Wednesday. He begins first-round play on Thursday at 8:26 a.m. ET on the 10th tee with Els and Hunter Mahan.
